Complete Tattoo Removal

If the tattoo that you want removed was done professionally, complete removal can take anywhere from 7-15 sessions, depending on many factors. These factors include: density of the ink (how well it was layed in to the skin), the amount of different colors present in the tattoo, and how recently the tattoo was done.
If the tattoo was not done professionally (i.e. in prison or by a "scratcher" - an unlicensed individual doing tattoos out of their house, etc.), it will likely take as little as 4-7 sessions, depending on the same factors.

Partial Tattoo Removal

Partial tattoo removal can be utilized in many different ways. For example, say you have a tattoo that you love, but it has a banner that displays the name of someone who is no longer in your life. It is possible to remove the name within the banner and leave the rest of the tattoo untouched. It is also possible to remove a part of your tattoo that you find unappealing or that was done poorly. Partial tattoo removal can take anywhere from 5-12 sessions, depending on the depth, size, and amount of colors in the section to be removed.

Tattoo Lightening

When performing a cover-up of an old or unwanted tattoo, many professional artists first prefer to lighten the tattoo with a few sessions of laser removal. This way, both customer and artist are allowed more flexibility when choosing the type, size, and colors of the image that will cover the old tattoo. Tattoo lightening usually takes 3-5 sessions.

Pricing

The pricing for laser tattoo removal varies depending on the size and amount of colors present in the tattoo. Prices usually range from $100 to $300 per session.

For your convenience, significant discounts are available for multiple laser removal sessions, in order to allow you to achieve maximum results while still maintaining your budget.

However, for small tattoos comtaining only black ink, sometimes a fixed, discounted price can be given to remove the entire tattoo. This fixed price will cover all sessions and can be paid off up front in whole or session by session.

Bundle discounts are also available for clients who are planning to lighten their tattoo with laser removal and then have an artist at Dark Child perform their cover-up tattoo.

Appointments and Timing Between Sessions

Appointments are generally spaced anywhere from four to eight weeks apart, depending, to insure that the laser removal from the past session is completely healed before lasering the area again. As with our tattoos, we provide free, walk-in consultations for every customer.
